Directors and Managers Guide
Let’s be honest: in the fast-paced world of regional healthcare, no director or manager has time to hunt through an endless labyrinth of PDFs for a single policy.

I designed the Directors and Managers Guide as the ultimate "just-in-time" digital companion and a bespoke, comprehensive resource for every leadership level across the WA Country Health Service.
Think of it as a GPS for leadership because it provides exactly what they need at the precise moment they need it. This allows leaders to spend less time searching and more time leading.

Expertly curated and highly interactive, this guide replaces information overload with streamlined clarity.
Whether it is a quick refresh on a clinical protocol or a deep dive into operational management, we made sure the answers are only a few clicks away. Professional, intuitive, and just a little bit clever, it is the modern toolkit for leaders who have no time to waste but a whole service to run.
The Challenge
I was approached to rescue a project that had grown into an almost 200-page document. While the original content was thorough, its sheer volume made it inaccessible for the very people who needed it most. My mission was to transform this dense forest of information into a streamlined, high-utility resource suitable for everyone from frontline supervisors to high-level executives.
The Design Process
I didn’t just want to create another digital shelf-filler. I set out to build a high-performance "search-and-deploy" system. By utilising an enhanced P+ADDIE framework, I ensured every phase of the redevelopment was laser-focused on one thing: getting the right answer to a time-poor manager in the fewest clicks possible.

Here is how I applied a rigorous methodology to create a frictionless leadership tool:

-
Planning: I established a roadmap that prioritised speed of access over volume of content. By defining critical milestones and deliverables early, I ensured a seamless transition from the trial phase to a fully realised, live-action resource that aligns perfectly with the organisational requirement.
-
Analysis: I performed a deep-dive into the pilot resources. This wasn't just an audit; it was a search-and-destroy mission for clutter. I identified the information bottlenecks and learning gaps that could slow the leaders down, uncovering exactly how to sharpen the content for a statewide, high-pressure environment.
-
Design: I moved away from traditional "learning journeys" and instead designed a sophisticated Information Architecture. I mapped out intuitive navigation paths, detailed storyboards, and technical prototypes that treat the user like a busy professional not a student. The result is an interface that feels more like a GPS and less like a textbook.
-
Development: This is where the vision became a high-performance reality. I produced a premium suite of interactive resources, including quick access and streamlined guides. These aren't just documents; they are interactive tools designed for busy leaders and executives who need to find, use, and act on information instantly.
-
Implementation: I don’t believe in "some assembly required." I provided the Learning & Development Manager with a robust, plug-and-play implementation plan. It was designed to ensure the rollout across the regions was as smooth as the guide itself making it low on noise, high on impact.
The Solution: The Frictionless Interface of Bridging Policy and Practice
The result is a precision-engineered tool designed to eliminate the friction between policy and practice. I have ensured that for every complex decision, the solution is never more than a few clicks away. This approach respects your time and allows you to focus entirely on the essential business of leading.
